-Silver Gucci Premiere gown: 10/10 (Hollywood glamour at its best)
-Red leather Gucci dress: 3/10 (never a fan of red leather and the bolero is an overkill)

Sarah Jessica Parker

- White Dolce & Gabbana dress: 7/10 (love the springtime white, but in need of less accessories)


Mia Wasikowska

-Pink Valentino dress: 10/10 (simple, chic, pretty)
-Burgundy Roland Mouret gown: 10/10 (fits perfectly and her hair is and jewelry is spot on)


Fan Bing Bing


-Red print gown: 9/10 (such a trend setter! The hair is a bit too high though)


Tilda Swinton


-Cream blouse/Pencil skirt: 10/10 (the proportions are wonderful and those shoes delightful)
-Navy and teal Haider Ackermann gown: 20/10 (Love this! Huge fan of the designer and Tilda is just perfect for this look.)


Rachel McAdams

-White Maxime Simoens dress: 10/10 (so fun yet structured. I adore the flower detailing)

-Tan Monique Lhuiller top and pants: 8/10 (love the idea of this look, very 70's retro glam, but not sure if it fits the Cannes atmosphere. adore the red lip though!)

-Red Marchesa gown: 15/10 (By far one of my favorite looks from Rachel. So sexy with the sheerness and the retro curls. I even like her pointy gold pumps)

Blue Beauties

-Gaia Bermani Amaral: 9/10 (love the long sleeves, but it's too winter for me. The color is amazing however!)

-Karolina Kurkova in Armani Prive: 10/10 (I'm a huge fan of this model's style. Pin curls, navy blue and fit=perfection)



Bryce Howard

-White blouse/Blue maxi skirt: 6/10 (the intention is correct but the skirt is too heavy and mature for her young age.)

-Reem Acra gown: 2/10 (ahh what was she thinking? Looks like she's hiding a baby bump and the color isn't flattering at all.)

Emmys 2010: Best Dressed

Who: Christina Hendricks; What: Zac Posen: Why: This lavender color against her porcelain skim and red hair is just magnificent. The touch of feathers and the way it hugs her curves is perfection. Soft yet sexy.


Who: Toni Collette; What: Valentino; Why: It is so different from everything else on the red carpet because of its artsy print and rustic colors. Simple hair and a trendy dress like this is unique and eye catching. Love it!


Who: Kyra Sedgwick; What: Monique Lhuillier; Why: I love this deep burgundy color and how she matches it with her lipstick and blush clutch. Youthful hair and a stunning dress means another home run for this style maven.


Who: Keri Russell; What: Jean-Louis Scherrer Haute Couture; Why: Omg this look is such a standout and style risk. And Keri totally pulls it off! The vintage shape, short hemline, bubblegum pink color, and subtle gold accessories is perfection. With a flower in her wavy up-do, she looks carefree and so comfortable. Props Keri:)


Who: Rose Byrne; What: Gucci; Why: Gucci is a designer we don't see much on red carpets because of its edgy look. But Rose certainly didn't shy away, looking so sultry and vampy in this clean sexy dress. The hair may be a little too high for my taste but everything else about this look is spot on. This is white done right!


Who: Claire Danes and husband Hugh Dancy; What: dress by Armani Prive and suit by Burberry; Why: They are such an adorable and stylish celeb couple. Claire always looks amazing, and last night was no exception. This sparkly dress speaks for itself and Claire does right by keeping the rest of her look simple. And Hugh doesn't look too bad himself! (I have such a huge crush on him haha).


Who: Dianna Agron; What: Carolina Herrera; Why: Dianna looks like a perfect barbie doll in this lace gown. It's so sophisticated yet young at the same time with the blush color lace overlay. I love the black bow, the two layers, and her simple swept back updo. My eye has been on Dianna for some time now, and I am sure we can except her to be a style setter!


Who: Jayma Mays; What: Burberry; Why: Navy was the obvious trend on last night's carpet. While most stars made this trendy color look boring, Jayma did not. Instead she vamped her look up with blown out hair, an amazing textured gown (great choice on using Burberry!), and a great gold necklace. She simply looks gorgeous and so regal. Love!


Who: January Jones; What: Atelier Versace; Why: Most people will say this look deserves to be on the worst dressed list but I strongly disagree. January is one of the only celebs out there who takes fashion risks and keeps things interesting. Always a fan of Atelier Versace, she pulls out all the stops in a vibrant blue dress with fan like paneling and a shorten front hemline. Wind swept hair and edgy makeup brings this knockout look together. Thanks January for bringing the runway to the red carpet!


Who: Kristen Wiig; What: unknown; Why: This comedian usually fails when it comes to red carpet style but last night she looked so good. I love this almost safari animal print dress with ruffle shoulder details. The shape and the flow of this gown is so spot on and looks so amazing on Kristen's slim body. I also like her side parted up-do and metallic accessories as well. Black and white is so on trend right now, so good job Kristen. Keep it up!

SAG Awards: Red Carpet Hits and Misses

MISSES

First off, we have Penelope Cruz in tight black L'Wren Scott cocktail dress. I'm not a fan of the black on black on black, as it makes her look old. Which shouldn't be the case as Penelope is so stunning and youthful!

Julianna Margulies looks very dowdy in this navy blue Narciso Rodriguez velvet gown. It gives her body no shape and kinda just hangs there. She wasn't the best dressed at The Golden Globes either in this same designer, so she should definitely try and step it up next time.

MOST IMPROVED

Sandra Bullock was one of my favorite at the Golden Globes last weekend and she remains it still on last night's red carpet. She truly has become a style maven in this unique Alexander McQueen gown. I love the keyhole, the bright blue design and the short selves. She really took a risk that ended up paying off!

Next we have Tina Fey in a flattering short purple dress by Salvatore Ferragamo. We have known Tina to wear black dresses alot, so its refreshing to see her in such a vivid hue. Even her retro curls and bejeweled Christian Louboutians are an improvement. Keep it going girl:)

Meryl Streep steps outside of her comfort zone in this printed Balenciga gown with swepted back hair and a black patent belt. I love that she chose something with pizazz instead of her usual neutral looks. She looks ten years younger and her makeup is flawless.

HITS

Color was the theme of the red carpet last night and these three lovely ladies wore the best hues of all.

Drew Barrymore hit another home run in this two tiered Monique Lhuillier gown. The hem detail is so pretty and I love that it looks like a piece of art. Her hair is great as well, though a little more makeup would have be nice.

Next is my favorite GLEE star, Lea Michele in this AMAZING Malandrino dress. This green hue is so perfect with her skin tone and her hair looks effortless yet chic. I'm so jealous right now:)!

Finally is my style icon, Diane Kruger is fashion favorite, Jason Wu. You never can go wrong with this mustard yellow tone,; it just looks flattering on every skin tone. I also love how she accents the color with red lips and clutch. She can't go wrong in my eyes!!

RED CARPET FAVES: Emmy Awards 2009

The Emmy Awards Red Carpet this past weekend was much more fashionable than usual. Stars were taking risks, looking glamorous and wearing bold standout colors. My particular favorites (and it was hard to choose!) are pictured above. Blake Lively, wearing a slinky red gown by Versace, looked stunning. No one but her can pull off such a low cut neckline like that. The most on trend celeb was January Jones, also wearing a Versace gown, but in a mint green color. This structured look is so unique and figure flattering. Sandra Oh always gets it right for me. She wore a gold embroidered gown with a rope detail at the middle. So classic and elegant:) Mila Kunis definitely got noticed in this Monique Lhuillier burgundy tulle dress. I love the short hemline, as it isn't often seen on the red carpet, and I love the color on her skin tone. Then we have Mindy Kaling in a dark periwinkle blue dress. I think the color, the empire detail and the material looks so cute and effortless. She kept it simple with a twist. Last but not least was Rose Byrne in a Valentino gown. I absolutely adore the black speckling effect against the nude tulle. The neckline, the length and the whole effect is a perfect look for this beauty.
