SOUTHERN STYLE

On my vaca I didn't see much style, but I sure saw a lot of southern pizazz. Cowboy boots, hats, and overalls were everywhere and a few "out there" outfits as well:) I think these celebs have that heel kickin' style without going too southern.

MY LOOK: VACA EDITION

So my mom surprised my sisters and I with a week trip to Tennessee; random right? Except it was completely awesome!! We went to Dollywood (Parton's amusement park!), a water park, hiking up the Smoky Mountains and shopping of course (more on that later:)). So during my getaway I had to look cute of course. The middle pic is my favorite outfit of the week: Shirt- TopShop, Skirt- Target, Belt- Vintage.

JACKETS: HOT RESORT10 RUNWAY TREND

Almost every designer from Bottega Veneta to Oscar De La Renta incorporated jackets somewhere within their Resort 2010 collections. This article of clothing has become more popular these past years as it is now used more for style than for warmth. Fashions ranging from the short cropped coat to the long boyish blazer are popping up everywhere in the fashion world. Even the 80's leather jacket has developed into such an international phenomenon that it's now considered a wardrobe must.

Bottom line: Buy a stylish jacket and work it:)!!

RUNWAY 2 MYWAY

I love this look from Alberta Ferretti's Fall 2009 RTW collection during Milan's Fashion Week. It is very fluid like with loose pieces but has added toughness with the neutral shoes. I didn't want to completely copy the design, so instead of a velvet textured skirt, I went with a floral dress made to look like a skirt. I paired it with a loose teal top and a long gray cardigan similar to Ferretti's original design. To top it all off, I wore my favorite taupe booties.

STYLE STAR: Emma Watson

Emma Watson is on everyone's minds these days considering the sixth Harry Potter movie is opening this coming week. Emma is taking the fashion world by storm, wearing such a-list designers as Rodarte and Proenza Schouler to recent events. I absolutely adore this Brit's style savvy; Emma looks are so put together and classy but she still manages to add spice to her outfits (even in the pouring rain at the London Premiere)!!
