Style Star: Emma Roberts

Born into Hollywood royalty (Dad is Eric Roberts and Aunt is Julia Roberts), Emma has had some big shoes to fill. Although not quite as famous as say Kristen Stewart or the other Emma (Watson that is), this little miss Roberts is starting to make waves in a whole other way. Recently having stared in "The Art of Getting By", Emma is getting critical acclaim for her raw indie acting, quite different to the teen stars of today. Another shinning quality is her carefree trendy style. Emma has a definite eye for what looks good and what flatters her petite (i mean petite petite) frame. Seen at all the best runway shows, premieres and events, she always looks so put together and tends to change her style up all the time. Known for rocking skinnies, rocker tees, cute frocks and the most covetable heels, Emma has become royalty in new kingdom.... the fashion industry.

Style Star: Cat Deeley

Besides So You Think You Can Dance? being one of my favorite shows and getting a high off of great dancing/choreography, anxiously waiting to see what host Cat Deeley wears is the highlight of the program. An avid vintage collector and fashionaholic, Cat not only has the model body to pull off the most fabulous designs (she was one in fact), but she also has a natural talent for styling. The looks she showcases (and struts!) on the SYTYCD? each have wonderful personality to them and she never repeats the same look twice. Switching from 70's glam attire to pretty frocks to bohemian treads, Cat keeps us on our toes. Which brings me to my next admiration...her sky scrapers, often pain inducing, high high heels. Louboutins, McQueen, Choo....the list goes on and so do her legs when rocking them all. I always feel bad for the tiny dancers when the stand next to her getting their critiques, as she towers over them (and their crazy costumes). So here's to Cat Deeley for bringing fresh fashion to TV and dance!

Style Star: Ginnifer Goodwin

I know Ginnifer Goodwin mainly from her red carpet style, which is quite impeccable. But to most she is known as one of the stars of the hit HBO series Big Love. Unlike her onscreen character, Ginnifer dresses much more edger thank goodness. She always pushes the fashion limits while still maintaining a chicness about her. Ladylike frocks, tailored suits, girlie minis, bold statement hues, and stand out jewelry are this style star's go-to pieces. I love how she dresses with a sense of maturity and sense of self with a youthful edge as well. And her best accessory you ask? Her trademark cropped pixie cut. Perfection!

Style Star: Mandy Moore

Okay so I have been a huge Mandy Moore fan ever since her role in Princess Diaries (who could forget "stupid cupid"!?) and her pop performance in my favorite dance movie, Center Stage. But now that Mandy has grown up into an accomplished actress, her style has evolved as well. Gone are the days of sequin shirts and bubblegum pink frocks, welcoming in modern ensembles and sweet dresses. Every time Mandy hits the red carpet you can expect a fresh chic look that not only flatters her amazing figure, but showcases her bubbly personality we all fell in love with. My favorite style moments of hers are showcased above. But my top runner by far is the gorgeous black cocktail dress and red satin pumps she wore to the UK Tangled premiere. OMG what a perfect fashion look!

Style Star: Camilla Belle

I can honestly say that I have a mad style crush on Camilla Belle. Belle, who is more known her her fabulous red carpets outfits than her movie roles, always manages to look so chic and fashion forward. She is beyond stunning, has the perfect skin tone and face structure and is very effortless in her styling. She tends to wear a lot of color which I admire because most celebs these days don't take fashion risks. She even matches her hair and makeup perfectly with each outfit she wears. Although she isn't A-list in her movie career, Camilla is certainly considered A-listed to top designers such as Derek Lam, Oscar de la Renta and Marchesa. She pulls off every look with such grace and poise. Bottom line is, I am extremely jealous so Camilla definitely deserves to be style star.

Style Star: Carey Mulligan

Carey is one of my favorite actresses as of lately, and her effortless chic style is just icing on the cake. Starting out small in indie films, then earning an Oscar nod for "An Education", and finally making headlines in big budget film, "Wallstreet", Carey certainly has made her mark. Her red carpet looks always seem to be made perfectly for her. With a lean frame, old Hollywood features and a cropped cut, her outfits work perfectly to match her delicate figure. I love that she changes it up but still remains true to her sense of style. She likes wearing top notch designers like Prada, Miu Miu, Elie Saab and Nina Ricci. And Ms.Mulligan pulls them off wonderfully. Some may not like her choice of wear or how daring she is, but I appreciate a young actress who take herself and fashion seriously. Above are my favorite looks of hers!

Style Star: Jessica Biel

Now Jessica Biel isn't particularly known for having an amazing sense of style, but these past couple of months promoting her movie, The A-Team, has given Jessica a fashion boost. She has a curvy yet toned physic, so I love how she doesn't go for the obvious body-hugging shapes that many other celebs with booties do (cough cough, Kim Kardashian). Instead Jess opts for demure and figure flattering looks that showcase her gorgeous face and long limbs. My favorite looks from her press and premiere tour are shown above. Keep it going Jess!

STYLE STAR: Sarah Jessica Parker

I think every women and some men in the world know that Sex and the City 2 premiered this past week. And with the enormous success of the series, the popularity of the first movie and the months of hype and movie promotions from its stars, many thought that the sequel would be amazing. However all that seemed to shine was the fashion and the red carpet styles, not the movie iteslf. Many movie critiquers, including Robert Ebert, were on the majority very disappointed in the film. Over the top clothing (though loved by the fashion industry, but not understood by mainstream America), tacky cliches, and a
less than good plot line, were among many complaints from fans and reviewers alike.
Coming from someone who has never watched the show (I was only a preteen when the series was popular), but has fell in love with the fashion featured on SATC, I was shocked to hear these comments. These movies were such a long awaited thing that fans all over were looking forward to. Personally with the success of the first movie, the franchise should have just stopped there on a high note. But saying that, we fashion lovers would never have seen all of the fabulous red carpet styles shown before and during the movie if there was no sequel. So I guess it's all just bitter sweet in the end.
But getting to the point of this post, Sarah Jessica Parker! SJP has been one of my fashion icons on and off screen for a while now. She always puts a unique spin on fashion, mixing prints, wearing daring colors, and promoting fashion greats like Alexander McQueen and Halston. Sparkle, billowly shapes, and tons of avant grade appeal are interests shared by her and her character, Carrie Bradshaw. And the greatest thing is that she is so down to earth when not working. You can see her walking the streets of NYC in downtown causal wear like stripes, the recently popular khaki pants, cozy scarfs, ankle booties and bright bags. So whether spending time with her three kids, running errands, glamming up on screen or strutting the red carpet, SJP never fails to impress. And with a slim body, a great long career, and fashion insiders on constant call who can blame her for always looking top notch?!

STYLE STAR: Demi Moore

Known for her ageless beauty, Demi Moore is the epitome of classic chic. With the help style guru Rachel Zoe and the gorgeous Aston Kutcher as a husband, who wouldn't look as fabulous has she does? I love how she keeps her looks simple, always showing off her toned body and naturally bronzed skin tone. I still don't know how its possible to age backwards as she seems to be doing, but Demi looks better and better at each red carpet she attends. Solid colors, short hemlines, shiny pumps, and no fuss hair are this style star's signature looks. I guess less really is Moore!

Style STARs: Gossip Girl Edition

On and off set the stars of Gossip Girl never fail to impress, each one with their own distinct style. It seems to me that either Blake, Leighton and Taylor are taking inspiration from their characters on the show or they themselves are the inspirations for the characters. Either way we can always expect the latest fashions and coolest trends from these girls. Leighton's character Blair is the epitome of preppy and prissy, and even though Leighton herself sometimes dresses that way, she always tries to distance herself from Blair's persona. Blake Lively's character Serena is all sexy and chic which Blake herself brings to the red carpet as well. Everything looks so great on her, especially this Victoria Beckam dress she's wearing above. And finally, "little Jenny" isn't so little anymore, on the show and off. Taylor own rocker style in real life has influenced her character's on set with studs, leather, legs and all. Gossip Girl is truly the only show where I look forward to each episode's looks as well as the stars' looks off camera. keep it up B, S and T!
