Style Star: Camilla Belle

I can honestly say that I have a mad style crush on Camilla Belle. Belle, who is more known her her fabulous red carpets outfits than her movie roles, always manages to look so chic and fashion forward. She is beyond stunning, has the perfect skin tone and face structure and is very effortless in her styling. She tends to wear a lot of color which I admire because most celebs these days don't take fashion risks. She even matches her hair and makeup perfectly with each outfit she wears. Although she isn't A-list in her movie career, Camilla is certainly considered A-listed to top designers such as Derek Lam, Oscar de la Renta and Marchesa. She pulls off every look with such grace and poise. Bottom line is, I am extremely jealous so Camilla definitely deserves to be style star.

Count Down to Harry Potter: Fav Promtional Looks

With the Harry Potter movie coming out I couldn't help but post a blog about Emma Watson's fabulous promotional looks. She hit it out of the park this week with her daring yet chic looks. And with her new cropped do, she just looks so sensational.

Red Carpet: CMAs 2010

Kelly Pickler: This gold sequin Pamella Roland gown fits Kelly to perfection. Even though we have seen this type of dress many times on the carpet, Kelly wears hers well. The flawless waves, curve hugging shape, and engagement bling makes this look one of my favorites of the night.

Gwyneth Paltrow: I am quite perplexed by Gwyneth's choice of dress. It's not to say its bad, but just not something we usually see her in. The actress is normally known for her high fashion tight bodycon looks, so this sweeping ombre gown is refreshing. She has an amazing body so the cutout and high slit is gorgeous on her. Simple hair and confidence finishes this great outfit.

Jennifer Nettles: This is definitely one of my top favorite looks because the watercolor dress is so unique. I always look forward to what Jennifer will wear and tonight she didn't disappoint in the least. Sans the bad eyeshadow, she looks simply stunning.

Taylor Swift: Of course Taylor looks great as always but I am bored. She always choices a sequin or red dress so I just wish she would change it up a bit. That said, the Monique Lhuillier gown fits her wonderfully and her hair look lovely.

Julianne Hough: I don't know what to think about this dress. Julianne looks like she's been engulfed by smoke. Its either that or a belated evil witch Halloween outfit. It looks like cheap material and doesn't do anything for her great figure. Too much going on.

Sheryl Crow: I am yawning when looking at this look. It's so causal and the design at the bottom makes no sense. The colors are dull and lifeless for such a vibrant woman. The only thing I like is her hair.

Joanna Garcia: I love this gown and how comfortable it looks. The color is absolutely amazing on her skin tone. The only thing though is that the dress and the hair seem too causal for such a big event. But even still, she looks great.

Leann Rimes: Where do I even start with this look? Leann looks like a cross between a sea monster and a warrior princess. The length and the detail of the dress just doesn't work. Even her booties scream "trying too hard". Her hair is okay but overall I dislike the whole outfit since it doesn't fit the CMAs.


Carrie Underwood: Carrie always manages to change it up on the red carpet and I can only give her props for that. This Talbot Runhof gown may be a little too extreme for my taste but
she doesn't get lost inside of it. Crazy ruffles and layers aside, the superstar singer looks great and the gun mental hue is amazing.

Leighton Meester: Yes finally a fashion forward look on the red carpet from none other than Gossip Girl star Leighton. Know for her daring fashion choices, this Emillo Pucci gown is a nice change. The short length in the front shows off her fabulous nude heels and she just looks so relaxed and effortless. Her makeup is too minimal but overall this is by far my favorite look.

Style Star: Carey Mulligan

Carey is one of my favorite actresses as of lately, and her effortless chic style is just icing on the cake. Starting out small in indie films, then earning an Oscar nod for "An Education", and finally making headlines in big budget film, "Wallstreet", Carey certainly has made her mark. Her red carpet looks always seem to be made perfectly for her. With a lean frame, old Hollywood features and a cropped cut, her outfits work perfectly to match her delicate figure. I love that she changes it up but still remains true to her sense of style. She likes wearing top notch designers like Prada, Miu Miu, Elie Saab and Nina Ricci. And Ms.Mulligan pulls them off wonderfully. Some may not like her choice of wear or how daring she is, but I appreciate a young actress who take herself and fashion seriously. VMAs 2010: The Most Interesting

The Queen

Lady Gaga in Alexander McQueen- Being that IT IS the VMAs and IT IS Lady Gaga, what else can we expect than a pure over-the-top dramatic outfit? I love that she's paying tribute to fashion great McQueen's last collection. While the colors of the gown aren't my favorite and her hair makes no sense with the look, I can't really critique anything else as Gaga redefines fashion in her own terms no matter what. Thanks for keeping it interesting.

On Thin Ice

Katy Perry in Marchesa- The only about this look that I like is the Technicolor stripes in her hair. She looks like an ice skater who decided to tack napkins all over her dress. And those heels look so cheap, like something you'd find at your local DOTS or RUE21. We all know that Katy likes fun and interesting looks, but this doesn't come close at all. If you're going to take a risk, go big.

Princess Ri

Rihanna in tulle and a Jennifer Behr headband- Is it just me or is Rihanna playing it safe? It's a cute look, don't get me wrong, but it feels like something is missing. She wore this while performing with Emenim, but this would be better suited for a red carpet or a Disney star like Miley Cyrus. Even with the gorgeous sparkle and the flaming red hair, Rihanna disappoints.

All the Shines

Audrina Patridge in Isaac Mizrahi (The Bad)- I don't know about you but I am getting pretty sick of Audrina's boring and similar looking outfits. She always wears a tight short tank dress, raccoon makeup, and cheap strappy heels. This look is way too bling-y for my taste and I really dislike that she mixed silver and gold together.

Selena Gomez in Reem Acra (The Good)- At first glance I wasn't sure if I liked this look or not. But after further inspection I realized that it was quite interesting in a good way. I love that Selena decided to wear a long sexy dress (something she doesn't do), and change it up a bit.
The shine of the draped gown with that touch of jewles at the bust is very unique and eye catching. And the fact that she wore matching strappy heels is a plus. I guess our Disney princess is all grown up.

Plumage Problem

Ciara is Givenchy Haute Couture- I am sooo over the feather look. And this outfit is no different. I don't know if you'd even call it a gown because it looks like most of it is missing. And those toe-heavy heels just ruin it for me. It's like she a bird that is shedding its feathers. The only I kind of like is her hair.

In the Bag

Kesha in Home Depot (The Bad)- Yes she really went to Home Depot, bought trash bags and made a dress out of them. But this is Kesha we're talking about. Based on previous looks, this on is as classy as it gets, and that's saying something. She looks like a street walker! I don't get the Rapunzel braid, the cat on her shoulders, or the "I'm too high to care" look on her face. I don't why people find this girl appealing.

Emma Stone in Emilio Pucci (The Good)- Now this is how you do the trash bag look. Use real leather and keep everything else simple. Emma looks so rock-and-roll chic with her fitted mini and electric blue clutch. She always manages to look stylish on the red carpet and she's definitely on my radar.

The Reds

Florence Welch in Givenchy Haute Couture- OMG, I had goosebumps watching Florence perform last night. I absolutely love her music and her sense of style. Her style is retro with a sexy quirky edge which I love. And this Givenchy lace zip-up gown on her is simply stunning.
It is the perfect shade for her skin tone and hair color. LOVE.

Hayley Williams in Miu Miu- She just always gets it right. Hayley knows who she is and I just adore her youthful rock style. Miu Miu has had many red carpet fans this past year and last night Hayley did the brand proud. The nude pumps, the pulled back hair, the black with bursts of color, is just perfection.
